Officers Support The Son Of A Fallen Comrade By Going To His Fifth Grade Graduation

When we graduate — whether it's the fifth grade, high school, college, or beyond — the people who are most proud of us are our parents. We may not truly understand how big of a deal graduating is, but when children move on the next stage of their lives, it's a satisfying and proud moment for parents. After all, they often pour their hearts and souls into their children's education.

But fifth grader Tristan Taylor wouldn't see his father, Dino Taylor, at his graduation. Taylor was a Baltimore police officer killed in the line of duty in 2012.

It would be devastating for Tristan to walk down the aisle, look into the crowd of smiling parents and not see his father. But it's what he saw instead that's warming hearts everywhere: officers supported the son of their fallen comrade by showing up to the graduation!

The young man took the stage, and one by one, the officers hugged his mother, who thanked each and every one of them for coming to the special event. While Officer Taylor may not be able to see his son graduate, his friends stepped in to comfort and support the entire family in a massive way.
