Grab the tissues and get ready for a good cry. This week, an elderly man sat by himself at a Bay Area In-N-Out Burger. Nothing special, right? Wrong! He caught the attention of several restaurant patrons, not because he was by himself, but because when they looked at his table, they realized he had brought with him a framed photo of his wife, who had passed away. He put it on table while he ate lunch, so that he could dine with her.
The photo was taken Oct. 22 by Twitter user Madi Bash (@Maaadina), while she and a friend were waiting for their order.
"Oh my god, I just died!!!" she posted. "He has a picture of his wife with him as he eats! I love him."
What a bittersweet, beautiful and tear-jerking moment captured in time. He certainly knows the value of those exchanged vows, keeping his wife close after her passing — and continuing to enjoy meals with her. Now, this is true love.
