Summertime is the perfect time to exercise a handy green thumb.
When Instructables user Kirklewellen decided his yard could use a new greenhouse to contain his gardening projects, instead of buying new glass for the job, he turned to Craigslist for materials. There, he was able to find all sorts of different old windows, perfectly suited for his dream structure.
After multiple rounds of meticulous designing and layout manipulation, this builder slowly began piecing his greenhouse together. With its frame in place, properly angled to capture optimal amounts of sunshine no matter the season, he carefully laid each window in place.
Coated with fresh, crisp white paint and tiled with a nice flagstone paver floor, this DIY-er built himself an amazing greenhouse, right in the comfort of his own backyard.

Instructables user Kirklewellen recently realized what his backyard had been missing — an incredible new greenhouse.
However, this upcycler chose not to buy new glass to line his greenhouse's outer walls.
Instead, he chose to make his building out of reclaimed windows.
This crafty builder scoured Craigslist for all the windows he could find.
Once he'd built up a sufficient materials stash, he got to work mapping out a layout that would best accommodate all his differently sized reclaimed window styles.
Layouts set in place, this DIY-er turned his attention to building the greenhouse's frame.
He played around with the angle of his greenhouse's roof to ensure that it would let enough light shine through all year long.
To enhance his greenhouse's charm and character, this Instructables user built custom trim to line along its exterior.
Next, this upcycler started putting his old windows to good use, hanging them piece by piece on his greenhouse's outer walls.
To tie the whole structure together, he painted his greenhouse bright white.
With the exterior complete, this builder turned his attention to the greenhouse's interior.
He chose to tile its floor with flagstone flooring.
He even extended the flagstone tile out to the structure's exterior, creating a cute little porch out front.
Decked out with growing tables, proper ventilation, and an electric heater — to carry his plants' lifespans on through the wintertime — his greenhouse was finally ready for the growing season.
This inventive DIY-er also installed an automated irrigation system — to make watering his plants completely effortless.
Now, this crafty upcycler will be able to enjoy gardening all summer long, and once winter hits, he'll have the means to keep his crops growing strong.
Not only is this greenhouse a perfect planting oasis, but this clever builder also decked out its porch with two cute chairs — a perfect spot to watch the sun rise and fall.
When this crafty upcycler dreamed up his ideal greenhouse, he repurposed all sorts of old windows — giving them new life whilst gifting himself a tranquil place to exercise his green thumb.
