For the vast majority of the population, there's no way to know what it feels like when someone you love wins an Olympic gold medal. It's just unimaginable to picture that level of success.
Watching them put in the work day after day and finally achieve their dream with the whole world watching must be the best feeling in the world.
And, I'm sure, a pretty surreal one as well.
For the parents of an Olympian, it makes all of the work that you put in worth it as well. As American gymnast Simone Biles' mom explains, it isn't always easy to be the parent of an Olympian.
But the moment of truth is during the competition. As Aly Raisman's parents know well, this can be the most stressful moment of a parent's life. Just watch the gymnast's mom and dad squirm as they watch her compete.
For Australian swimmer Kyle Chalmers's grandparents, his big moment was overwhelming for them, too. As they sat and watched him compete on the television, you could already see the emotion on their faces.
Then when he wins the gold? The tears of joy start flowing between the two of them. It's an incredible family moment to witness, and you can see that they're just completely overcome with emotion.
It's got to be one of the most amazing feelings in the world for them!
