Whether she's drinking booze or eating specific foods for longevity, it doesn't seem to matter — Felemina Rotundo is doing something right!
If we asked you to guess Felemina's age, you probably wouldn't be able to guess based on her active lifestyle. She's one incredible lady!
At 100 years young, Felemina is still a working lady. That's right! This is one woman who doesn't believe in retirement.
She told TODAY.com, "I believe 65 is too young. If I retired at 65, what would I have done all these years? I would've gone crazy! I work because I love people. I want to be around people."
She can be seen working 11-hour days, 6 days a week in a Buffalo, New York laundromat called College Laundry Shoppe. There, she spends her time washing and folding clothes.
Felemina turned 100 this past August and has been working for the past 85 years, since the age of 15. She first started working in a shoe factory in Annville, Pennsylvania.
As a Depression-era teenager, she learned the value of working. She had to survive to get through tough times.
She hopes that others close to her age will follow her example and prove that even in the workforce, older folk can stay vibrant, competitive, and productive!
"I think they throw old people away and forget about them. Not me. I want to keep working. I think they should keep old people working as long as they can. If old people are working and independent, it makes them feel so much different."
