When it comes to talent shows, I like to think I've just about seen it all…
The truth is, I find myself saying this over and over and over again. Just when I start to assume there are no more unique, surprising acts out there, I discover something like this next inspirational duo's performance.
One of the reasons I love talent shows so much is that they don't discriminate against people who are different. Let's be honest, it happens plenty in the entertainment industry, but on talent shows, everyone gets an equal opportunity. From singing soldiers injured in battle to a man who used his wheelchair to shock the world, I'm a big fan of brave performers who break boundaries on stage.
This next act consists of Paula Moulton and Gary Lyness, two dancers from the U.K., who put on a show that I can honestly say is unlike anything I've ever seen before…and I watch a lot of talent clips. Paula is in a wheelchair, but that hasn't changed her love for dancing one bit. She and her best friend Gary would dance just for fun, until they decided they needed to make something out of their one-of-a-kind performances.
As you'll see in their audition for Britain's Got Talent, Paula's disability doesn't hold her back one bit. If anything, dancing in a wheelchair makes her that much more talented in my eyes…and it seems like the judges agree, too!
