Have you ever wanted to know what it's like to soar with the birds?
Whether riding in a glass elevator or flying in an airplane, I love taking in the beautiful landscape views from high up. That's not to say I am into anything too extreme, like the Russian men who climbed a crane on top of a skyscraper. But when I saw these amazing hotel suites hanging on the side of a cliff, I definitely had to take a closer look.
The Skylodge Adventure Suites are located in the Sacred Valley of Cuzco in Peru. Initially, they look like three capsules stuck into the side of a giant mountain. But upon closer examination, they are actually the rooms of one of the world's craziest hotels. And if you don't mind the heights, they provide an absolutely breathtaking view, just like a bird's!
When I got to see the inside of the suites, I was even more impressed. I may just have to add the Skylodge Adventure Suites to my bucket list.

The Skylodge Adventure Suites comprise one of the most interesting luxury hotels in the world, hanging on the side of a cliff that overlooks the Sacred Valley of Cuzco.
The hotel features three different suites to stay in, situated 1300 feet in the air. That's over 120 stories!
There are two ways that people can reach their hotel rooms. They can take a series of ziplines, accompanied by a bilingual guide.
Or they can climb a 1300-foot metal ladder set into the side of the mountain.
The capsules are 24 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 8 feet high. They are crafted from aluminum and weather resistant polycarbonate.
Each suite is completely transparent, with four beds, a dining area, and a private bathroom.
The bathroom is separated from the bedroom by a wall and contains a functioning toilet and sink, as well as a stunning view of the valley.
The interior of each suite features four lamps and a reading light that are powered by solar panels.
An access hatch is located on the top of each of the units to make entering and exiting safer.
Guests of the hotel are provided with breakfast, dinner, and wine. Prices per person start at $288 per night — not bad for a cliffside suite!
These Skylodge Adventure Suites are truly one-of-a-kind. The creative use of space and stunning views make their cliffside rooms into one of the most amazing places to stay in the world!
