Well-Dressed Stranger Pops Up At PTSD Meeting, Then Old Woman Sees Cash In Her Friend’s Hand

Phyliss Bibeau dedicates her time to helping out with a cause that is often forgotten in the world today. She helps war veterans cope with PTSD through creative writing and self-expression.

Her New Mexico vets know her as a little lady, but the loudest voice in the room. Some even say she’s saved their lives by providing them with an outlet they so desperately needed in order to carry on.

One day, Phyliss' friend Barb, who also helps with the PTSD meetings, decided to find a way to pay Phyliss back for everything that she had done. Barb contacted KFOR's Pay It 4Ward Program to tell them about Phyliss, and the news station agreed to feature her story.

In the video below, posted on January 23, 2017, a reporter named Colton Shone shows up holding $400. He says, "All right Barb, so I have $400 in my hand here. Are you ready to pay it forward to Phyliss?"

"I am ready to pay it forward," Barb says with a smile as she accepts the money.

Both of them enter the room where Phyliss' PTSD creative writing workshop is held, then wait for her to arrive.

Phyliss enters the room with a shocked expression on her face. She is instantly confused by the stranger in a suit standing next to a few cameras.

When she sees that everyone in the room is acting strangely, she asks, "What is it with you guys?"

As she walks up to Colton, he explains that Barb has a very special surprise for her.
