They Found This Stray On The Side Of The Road Doing One Miraculous Thing…WOW!

If the cartoons are to be believed, cats and dogs are mortal enemies who cannot stand one another.

Sure, there are some that can't get along, like this cat who has stolen a Boston terrier's toy, but I believe that maternal instincts can absolutely trump any animosity between species.

The rescue workers of the Mercy Animal Clinic in Garland, TX are experiencing this firsthand after rescuing a stray pit bull they saw on the side of the road. The pit bull was friendly and sweet, but initially hesitant to come along with them.

This is because the pit bull was nursing a two-day-old kitten.

They weren't sure where this duo came from, or where the kitten's mother was located, but it was clear that the dog and kitten had become quite close. In fact, it seems the dog has adopted the little feline as her own child.

"Pittie" and "Kitty" — as the clinic calls them — are actually so closely bonded that they are seeking someone who is willing to adopt them as a pair.

To see this incredibly miraculous duo in action, watch the videos below. I've watched every single one a couple of times now. You really see how much this dog loves that cat.

When they first rescued this pair, Pittie was running out of milk. Fortunately, the rescue workers were able to keep both safe.

This video shows just how much Pittie loves her Kitty. Even though she's no longer nursing Kitty, she wants to help out however she can.

Pittie has now been spayed, and as soon as Kitty is old enough, the clinic hopes to adopt both together.

When you watch this video, it's hard to imagine anyone who would want to take them away from each other. Pittie can't stand to be away from the kitten for too long.

No one knows how this tiny kitten became stranded, but luckily Pittie was there to look out for her.

Even though they are so different, Pittie still behaves like a concerned mother.

The clinic thinks they have found a potential home nearby for Pittie and Kitty. Let's hope so, because these two deserve a forever home together.
