It might not seem like summer is anywhere near us after the weather we've been having over here on the East Coast, but rest assured, we're almost there!
Despite the fact that I'm sitting at my desk with a giant winter coat on right now, I'm still looking forward to the warm days of summer, when I'll be able to escape the city, go to my parents' house, and swim in their pool. What a lovely retreat from the sweaty subway platforms and delicious garbage smell cooking on the sidewalks of New York City!
Yes, relaxing in any pool is the right way to spend a hot summer day. With a nice cool beverage within reach, and some good friends and family with whom to float and kid around while the sun beams down on your skin (which has been carefully covered in sunscreen, or course), what could possibly be better?
This pup knows exactly how to spend one of the first days of summer.
With one of his favorite toys safely in his mouth, he walks along the edge of a pool, clearly not wanting to get his beautiful coat all covered in chlorine.
Then, he sees a conveniently placed floaty, perfectly sized for a pup his size.
There's nothing quite like spending an afternoon exactly like this pup!
