Postmodern Jukebox And Haley Reinhart Perform “Oops!… I Did It Again”

Many people thought the year 2000 would bring the apocalypse, but instead, the start of the new millennium brought us something much better: Britney Spears' iconic single, "Oops!… I Did It Again." The tune was a major hit for the pop princess, and fifteen years later, plenty of us can still remember all the lyrics. In what might be my favorite performance of theirs yet, Postmodern Jukebox and Haley Reinhart have taken Britney's single and transported it back in time for a vintage twist that might be even better than the original.

Postmodern Jukebox never fails to pick incredible singers to help them take modern songs on a time machine ride to the past. Sometimes, the songs only differ slightly from the originals, and other times (such as when this beatboxing star performed Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive"), the covers sound like completely new songs. They've featured Haley Reinhart multiple times now, and it's easy to see why: she has a unique, powerful voice that seems to suit vintage songs perfectly. I mean, her version of Radiohead's "Creep" is one of the most hauntingly beautiful songs I've ever heard! And with this Britney cover, I think it's safe to say she "did it again."

I get super excited every time a new PMJ song comes out, and this performance shows exactly why. I can't wait to see what pop songs they re-do next!

Is Post-Modern Jukebox's cover of "Oops!… I Did It Again" better than Britney's version? Or will the original reign supreme? Let us know what you think in the comments, and don't forget to SHARE this song with all your Facebook friends!
