Priscilla Presley And Riley Keough’s Battle Over Lisa Marie’s Estate Gets Even Uglier

Priscilla Presley and Riley Keough are still fighting over Lisa Marie Presley's estate.

When Lisa Marie unexpectedly died in January 2023, sources close to her shared that she intended for her trust to be left to her children. At the time of her death, it's believed Lisa Marie left the entire trust to Riley Keough and her late brother Benjamin Keough, as well as to her young twin daughters.

Priscilla Presley has disputed this claim and filed a dispute four days after Lisa Marie's memorial service, questioning the "authenticity and validity" of a 2016 document that Lisa Marie reportedly signed.

Priscilla has also stated that the 2016 document is brand new to her and believes it should rendered void because she and Lisa Marie did not discuss it prior to Lisa Marie's death. However, several sources close to Lisa Marie have indicated that she and her mother did not have a strong relationship before she died.

A friend of Lisa Marie's told People that it's clear that "Lisa wanted Riley and Ben to be the trustees" and that she wanted all four of her children to benefit from the trust. Benjamin died by suicide in the summer of 2020, which leaves Riley in charge of the trust.

Riley and Priscilla aren't speaking much at present, and Riley has been further angered that her grandmother invited Lisa Marie's ex Michael Lockwood to the memorial service, despite the difficult court battle that he and Lisa Marie fought over their two children.

Priscilla and Michael also traveled to the service together. A friend explained to People, "Michael was not invited. He came to Memphis under the pretense that he had to chaperone the twins — and he forced his way in with Priscilla's help. The last thing Lisa Marie would have wanted was for Michael to be there."

Another source explained that Riley doesn't have great feelings about Michael. As they said, "Riley was always on her mom's side when it came to Michael. It bothered her that her grandmother and Michael flew to the funeral together."

At one point, the trust was worth well over $100 million. In 2003, Lisa Marie named her manager, Barry Siegel, as a co-trustee with her mother, and he later sold 85% of the interests. The trust totaled around $14,000 in 2015.

Lisa Marie sued Barry Siegel and also alleged that he was paying her mother $900,000 a year from the trust, despite her mother not having an official position or job. A friend told People, "I can assure you, in the last seven years of Lisa's life, she never discussed with Priscilla any business."

The friend continued by adding that Lisa Marie had repeatedly asked how she could buy back more of the trust. The friend said, "She wanted each of her four children to have 5 percent of the estate."
