They May Look Like Best Friends, But This Bridesmaid Is A Hired Professional. Hello, Dream Job!!!

When Jen Glantz's friends said she was so great at helping plan and participate in their weddings that she was a 'professional bridesmaid', they were just playing around.

However, the more Jen thought about that term, the more she began to take the idea seriously. The 26-year-old New Yorker was so confident in her bridesmaid skills that she took the idea to CraigsList and posted an ad for her services to help brides-to-be on their big day. Glantz was surprised by the number of responses she received from overwhelmed women. Some didn't have enough close friends to get the job done, others needed to replace women who backed out. All took Glantz's idea very seriously!

While it's not a new idea to have a stranger help out with your wedding, the idea of having a 'professional bridesmaid' is definitely a first. Before her bridesmaid revelation, Glantz was working as a professional copywriter. Now, she's trademarked her new business, which offers everything from virtual advice starting at $199 to actually standing as a bridesmaid at a wedding for upwards of $1,000.

Who doesn't love to dress up and eat cake? I'd say this definitely beats the average 9-5 gig, wouldn't you?!
