She Was Accused Of Posing As A Black Woman. Watch What She Reveals In Her Shocking Interview

Rachel Dolezal was president of the Spokane chapter of the NAACP until she resigned her position after accusations that she was pretending to be black.

Though Rachel has claimed to be black for the last 10 years, her parents recently came forward to reveal a truth stranger than fiction: Rachel is actually white. “She’s our birth daughter and we’re both of European descent,” her biological father Larry Dolezal told BuzzFeed, adding, “we’re puzzled and it’s very sad.”

While Rachel says she "identifies as black" in her latest interview with Matt Lauer of The TODAY Show,  her parents revealed that she is of Czech, German, and Swedish descent. Many are perplexed that Rachel would do this when there are so many prominent civil rights leaders who are white — the two things aren't mutually exclusive.

“In my opinion, (her race) wouldn’t make a difference to me,” Cedreic Bradley, chair of the the Spokane NAACP’s Criminal Justice Committee, told Inlander. “It’s not about black and white, it’s about what we can do for the community.”

Others are responding with this sentiment: If Caitlyn Jenner can physically change her sex, why can’t someone physically change their race? Her parents are equally as confused as anyone else. “She has over the past 20 years assimilated herself into the African-American community through her various advocacy and social justice work, and so that may be part of the answer,” Larry said. Rachel has claimed to have experienced nine hate crimes, is an adjunct professor of African studies at Eastern Washington University, has claimed her biological father is black, and says that she was born in a teepee.

However, her parents, Ruthanne and Larry Dolezal, have exposed her ethnicity as a fraud by revealing old childhood photos. Yes, these photos are of the same person: Rachel Dolezal.

Rachel also claimed to have been born in a teepee, to have hunted for food with bows and arrows, and to have been abused by a stepfather in South Africa. All of these claims have been exposed as lies.

Furthermore, Rachel claimed that this man is her father. He was scheduled to appear at the 19th ribbon-cutting ceremony for the NAACP office but never showed.

“It is very disturbing that she has become so dishonest,” Dolezal’s mother Ruthanne said. Her parents provided this birth certificate to prove their kinship.

"She doesn’t want us visible in the Spokane area in her circle because we’re Caucasian,” Larry said. Both of Rachel's parents are white and of German, Czech and Swedish decent.

Even more suspiciously, Rachel has alleged that she is the victim of 9 hate crimes, on all of which the police can find no leads. In one instance police felt her claims were fraudulent.

Earlier in the year, Rachel claimed that she received hate mail. According to the NY Daily News, "A police investigation revealed the envelope had never been canceled or timestamped, and was put in a box only accessible to USPS employees or someone with a key, the Spokesman Review reported."

After the story came to light, it was also revealed that as a graduate student, Rachel pressed charges against Howard University for discriminating against her because she was white.

Many agree that they aren't upset that a white person is a civil rights leader. However they are upset that she appears to have been lying to the very community she advocates for.
