Cafe Owner Says Toddler Made A Mess, Then She Calls Out His Mom On Facebook

Lorraine "Rainy" MacDuff, owner of Rainy Days Caffe in Lake Stevens, WA, was fed up with children making a mess in her restaurant.

After a military mom's toddler made a mess on the floor, MacDuff had had it. She kicked the mother and her child out of the establishment.

"I told her that she was going to have to leave," MacDuff told ABC News. "We had just paid good money to have our carpets cleaned and I didn't appreciate that her kid was stomping crumbs into the carpet."

MacDuff took a photo of the messy floor and posted it on Facebook. In a snarky post, she thanked parents who can control their children and promptly banned small children at her restaurant.

"Like to take a moment to thank our customers with small children whose kids don't make a mess. A couple of ladies came in today and this is the mess their children made," MacDuff wrote on Facebook.

Many applauded the owner for taking a stance, while others thought she was parent-shaming mothers.

"I put it on Facebook for my regular customers who are always neat and tidy and ones who have very small children, and it's not fair to them to not be recognized for the good work they do," MacDuff said. "Everybody's allowed to have their opinion, allowed to live their life, and that's what we're trying to do."

What do you think of the ban? Do you support it or think it's an unreasonable expectation for both parents and children? Let us know in the comments!
