After cooking a nice meal, many of us find ourselves with quite a bit of leftovers from time to time. Some leftovers are great when they're quickly reheated, but others pose a bit of a quandary.
Leftover rice is a pretty common issue — it's hard to know exactly how much to make! The thing about rice is that it doesn't reheat very well, usually losing its tenderness, and a lot of us end up throwing it away.
If you're like me and hate wasting food, John Birdsall from the YouTube channel Chow has a quick and easy way to make leftover rice delicious again! Using a trick his mother-in-law taught him, he simply brings a pan to medium heat and tosses in a handful of rice, patting it down with a spatula. After a few minutes, he flips the whole thing over and allows the other side to become yummy and crispy.
Whether you eat it plain, dip it, or even use it as a whole new side dish, this is an amazing trick to get your money's worth out of an already inexpensive dish!
