Mom Shoveling Snow Agrees To Do Interview, Then Realizes Reporter Tricked Her

One New England mom got tricked by a sneaky reporter. Kara Gelinas was shoveling inches of snow from her driveway. Anyone who has had to shovel snow knows how tedious, exhausting, and even painful it can be out in the bitter cold.

Kara was stopped by a reporter who said she was conducting interviews with the locals about snow shoveling. Little did Kara know that she was in for a big treat.

"Kara how long have you lived here?” the reported asked.

Kara responded, "10 years."

“And how long have you been shoveling?” the reporter said.

Kara's answer was the same: "10 years."

The speech-pathology teacher had never known the luxury of a snow blower. In fact, she'd recently tried to buy one, but the stores were sold out.

"Well, today is your lucky day, Kara," the reporter said. Then she surprised the homeowner, saying that the Lia Auto Group Surprise Squad had partnered with Western Mass News to give one lucky person a snowblower — and that person was Kara!

But the Surprise Squad didn't stop there, helping Kara's neighbor shovel her driveway. Shoveling snow might be a tedious task, but for Kara it meant she was at the right place at the right time.
