Life can be such a journey. You never know who you’re going to meet and what their story is, which is all the more reason to simply be kind.
This video from Wonderbot tells the story of a rich woman who rudely mocked an older woman at the mall only to discover the very next day that the same woman works as a judge who would be deciding her fate.
A woman named Ashley entered a grocery one day and found herself feeling positively out of place. Due to her wealth, Ashley always dressed to impress and she wasn’t really feeling the most patient when she went into the market that day.
When she got in line at the cash desk, there was an older woman in front of her who appeared to be fumbling with her bank card. The cashier patiently told the woman that her card didn’t seem to be working.
“Can you hurry up, please?” Ashley exclaimed. She couldn’t stop herself from impatiently tapping her designer shoe to showcase her frustration. Even after the older woman apologized to Ashley, it didn’t stop her from huffing past her to the front of the line. Everyone else who had been waiting their turn couldn’t believe their eyes.

The next day, Ashley found herself feeling anxious as she headed to the courthouse. She was entrenched in a custody battle with her wealthy ex-husband for their son.
As she entered the courtroom and spotted her ex-husband, Richard, her eyes slowly made their way to the judge’s podium where the older woman she angrily dismissed the previous day in the grocery store was seated.
