Senior Visiting Rio Olympics Refuses A Subway Seat And Performs Unexpected Acrobatics

When most of us daydream about our retirement years, we think of kicking back, taking it easy, and enjoying all the little moments that used to pass us by in our busy day-to-day life.

Of course, that doesn't mean we should let ourselves go physically, as several senior citizens have proven over the years. Who says you can't still kick butt just because you've earned your AARP card?

While Olympian gymnast Oksana Chusovitina is still few years shy of claiming those discounts at 41-years-old, the man in the video below definitely proves that age only matters if you let it.

At 68 years old, Wayne McEntire, an American visiting Brazil to watch the games live with his grandson, Britton Barker, was recently offered a seat reserved for elderly passengers while riding on the town's local metro.

However, despite how polite the offer was, the younger commuter didn't realize just how unnecessary such kindness was for this particular gray-haired man.

So he obviously had to show off how his grandpa, or "papa" as he refers to Wayne McEntire, making clear to the other passenger that he would be just fine standing.

Though the other rider was extending the offer only out of good will, of course, he and the others on the train were floored when they saw McEntire reach for the handrail.

And they've, of course, been having a lot of fun with the overwhelmingly positive response, with Baker joking, "Oops accidentally made Papa Twitter famous," the day after seeing his photos going viral.
