9 Days After Nearly Being Crushed In Earthquake, Dog Is Finally Found Alive In Rubble

When natural disasters occur, it is very hard to find the light in the darkness.

Italy was devastated by a 6.2 earthquake at the end of August. The death toll has almost reached 300 people and thousands were displaced after their homes collapsed into rubble.

As families searched for their loved ones, stories arose of the miracle moments of animals and people surviving days this terrible disaster. A 10-year-old boy managed to survive being trapped inside of rubble for 17 hours.

9 days after the horrific earthquake, Romeo the golden retriever has been pulled from the rubble and the dog was completely unscathed from the terrifying disaster!

The firemen who saved Romeo said the dog is in great shape and is acting like he just woke up from a long nap, running around the remains of his yard to smell all of the new scents.

When the earthquake hit, Romeo's owners managed to get out of their home in time, but not with him. After searching for their beloved Romeo for hours, they were forced to evacuate the area for their own safety.

Over a week after the earthquake, they were finally able to return to their home and were amazed to find Romeo was alive. As soon as he heard their voices, Romeo began barking!

Lucky for Romeo, it appears a beam fell and kept him safe from the rest of the rubble. He found a small area to hang out in until his rescue.
