When the heartbreaking news was released that much beloved and respected singer Joey Feek had passed away after a long bout with cancer, millions of people all around the world sent out their thoughts and prayers for her and her family.
But before she passed on into the next world, Joey, her husband Rory, and the whole family kept up an inspiring blog that kept devoted fans updated through the good times as well as the bad. As the months went by, Rory showed the world just how close he and his wife were, and when the day came when they said their final goodbyes, millions of people worldwide were devastated.
But Rory has a family he needs to take care of. And even though his beloved Joey may be gone, he will always cherish the memories she shared with him. As Rory gave his wife a beautiful and emotional eulogy, the crowd couldn't help but weep at some of his words while laugh at others.
He kissed a beautiful photo of her that will forever have a special place in their family's history. But when he turned around and began his speech, the whole audience broke down. And even though it was sad, Joey would have wanted some smiles, too, so when he put on her old high school letterman jacket, the whole crowd burst into applause.
While Joey Feek will be sorely missed, she will certainly never be forgotten.
