Rosie Reilly came fully prepared for her interview with a branch of Boots Opticians, in the United Kingdom. Her interviewer asked her standard questions about her experience and invited her to participate in the second part of the interview — once she changed her clothes.
According to the interviewer, Rosie wasn't dressed "conservatively enough" to go onto the shop floor and interact with customers.
Rosie reportedly went back home and became very upset over the situation. She says that she even burst into tears.
She went home and took to Twitter to defend her choice of outfit. She posted photos of her wearing it, and let her followers have their say. Soon, they and total strangers came to her defense, and her post quickly got the attention from the store. Management at Boots Opticians apologized for the incident and even offered Rosie another chance to interview at a different location.
