The Tipsy Bartender brings us yet another lush cocktail tutorial. This one is definitely for special occasions. I don't know if I would casually drink a "Salty Watermelon Bowl" at brunch but it will certainly come in handy at parties or picnics.!
The Salty Watermelon is all about balancing the flavor of sweet and well, salty. By infusing the meat of a watermelon with flavored vodka and triple sec and adding all the right spices, you can create this light, refreshing drink. If you're looking for a cocktail with a little more bite, you might want to try this Shark Attack Shot instead.
Ingredients:
- 2 mini watermelon halves, hollowed out (keeping the watermelon flesh for blending later)
- 2 oz. (60 ml) watermelon vodka
- 1 oz. (30 ml) triple sec
- 1/2 oz. (15 ml) lime juice
- Ice
- Mini bottles filled with salty watermelon vodka
- Tajin Powder
All you have to do is remove the flesh of two small watermelon halves. Place the flesh, vodka, triple sec, ice and lime juice into a blender. Pour the frozen drink into two glass mini bottles and pour the rest of the mixture back into the watermelon halves. Carefully place the bottles into the watermelon bowl. Lightly sprinkle Tajin powder seasoning. Drink with straws.
For adults 21 and over only. Please drink responsibly.
