Being a puppy might seem fun, but you have to understand just how difficult it can be sometimes when there are just so many places to explore, things to chew on, and rules not to follow!
Little Samson is a beautiful Newfoundland puppy, but recently he's been acting up a little. Nothing too bad, he's just filled with so much energy, and sometimes that means he doesn't always listen to his human as much as she'd like him to.
So when Mom came home one day to find that several of her belongings had been chewed up, he could instantly tell that he was in trouble for what he had done. And while it's good to train a dog and to keep them on the correct path, sometimes you just have to understand that they're still just puppies, and they might not know right from wrong just yet.
In the video below, you'll see the perfect way to discipline a puppy that already knows what he's done is wrong, and we just love Mom's response!

When Mom came home, Samson instantly knew that he was in trouble. His puppy teeth have been annoying him a lot lately, so he chewed on several of Mom's belongings while she was out.
Dogs have such a close relationship with humans that just from the tone of their voices, they can tell when they've done something wrong. We all remember this famous "Guilty Dog" that tried to smile to his human to show he was innocent when he clearly wasn't!
Or the huge dog that tried to sneak out of the tiny cat door in an attempt to escape his mother after he chewed on the bed.
And while we should all discipline our dogs to make sure they know this behavior isn't the right thing to do, that doesn't mean we should be too harsh with them. We should never strike them or make them feel too bad for what they've done.
After all, they're dogs!
So when Samson's mom says THIS? We couldn't help but smile at how good of a human she is to her little puppy.
