With all the endangered species in the world, humans have taken it upon themselves to do everything they can to save these precious creatures from extinction.
Reviving any species in the wild is a long and complicated process. First, we need to know as much as we can about the habits, habitat, and movements of the animals in order to understand them. That's why rescuers and vets venture out into the wild, sometimes putting their lives at risk to put tracking collars on elephants like Edison, as seen in this clip.
The men work quickly, as they only have so much time to attack the tracking collar on the massive animal while he is still sedated. If he wakes up before they are done, it could spell disaster for the crew.
Once the collar is in place, the men run back to their vehicles to wait for Edison to wake back up. They're convinced it should be in any minute.
There's just one problem: the elephant isn't showing any signs of life. They watch his ears closely: once he is ready to get up and moving, his ears will flick, but Edison lays totally still on the ground. The vets fear the worst.
One of the vets gets back out of the car to administer another dose of medicine to counteract the tranquilizer. Everyone is hoping that this dose will finally revive the elephant.
Now watch the clip to find out if Edison gets back on his feet, or if the crew must resort to a different way to wake him up, if they can.
