If you had 24 hours to make a difference in your community, what would you do? This video answers that question for a handful of kindhearted folks, and it comes to us from TD Bank — the same folks who brought us the awesome ATM of kindness video last year. From Vancouver to Halifax and Boston to Miami, TD selected 24 customers with inspiring and impactful giving ideas and surprised them with both the money and support to make them come true. The acts rolled out in 24 communities across the U.S. and Canada and were as varied as the communities and the people living in them, including:
Michael helped create a more accessible home for a neighbor in need, giving her back her independence. She is now able to use the wheelchair accessible ramp to easily get in and out of her house.
Edwin, an elementary school gym coach, whose love of sport inspired him to equip a struggling football league with much-needed gear, including uniforms and practice equipment.
Valerie, who wanted to show foster children that they're important and beautiful, inside and out – so she organized an inspiration gala complete with a ballroom, gowns, makeovers and special guest speakers to empower teenaged foster girls.
What an incredible idea — I wish more companies would do something like this!
