Sit back and get ready to watch one of the most jaw-dropping dance routines of all time. During the balance routine at the 2010 Acrobatic Gymnastics National Championships in Kissimmee, FL, a trio of awesome athletes showcased a talent that can only be achieved with years of practice. The last time I watched something so impressive, it was the three young Ukranian women who floored millions of people and placed third after Russia and Great Britain.
These girls represent the United States, and boy do they do us proud. This is the Senior Elite women's group from Empire in Riverside, CA, comprised of Kaley Maurer, Holly Morris, and Crystal Johnston.
In the video, the gymnasts seem like regular dancers at first. But at the :37 mark, the smallest gymnast balances on the middle gymnast's foot, which is stretched back and pulled by the base! Ouch. She hits the aerial maneuver and dismounts perfectly every time, and it doesn't even look like they're breaking a sweat.
Their routine garnered some criticism, as the top looks bigger than one of the bases. Some people even went so far as to say they should have been deducted points for their sizes. If you ask me, that only proves the sheer strength each of these women possesses.
If these athletes impressed you, too, then please SHARE this remarkable performance with your friends on Facebook!
