Ares and Zeus were dropped off at an animal shelter in Florida just one day apart. Scared and uncertain about their surroundings, the two dogs became instant friends and began to lean on each other for comfort and support. The two were inseparable.
Then, in late August, Second Chance Rescue posted a photo of the two precious dogs snuggling on their Facebook page, noting that the 3-year-old dogs' situation was "urgent." They were scheduled to be euthanized in early September if no one were to take them home.
Ronda McElwee Chewning and her daughter spotted the photo and decided to save BOTH dogs. Not long after the dogs were in their new home, they started to come out of their shells, giving their new moms lots of love and kisses. Now, they've found their forever home — together! How amazing.
Chewning hopes her story will inspire others to adopt a new furry friend of their own. Please SHARE with everyone you know.

Thankfully, a mother and daughter came to the rescue. Ares and Zeus were excited to be on their way to their new forever home.

The dogs are inseparable and love to be together.

The dogs even enjoy mealtime together, taking turns with the food and water bowl.

Ares and Zeus check themselves in at the groomers.

After a long day, the dogs cuddle together in one bed. Aww!
