On December 26, 2011, Tom surprised his girlfriend, Steph, with a new iPhone 4s as a Christmas present.
It’s adorable to see Steph’s skepticism on how her boyfriend got the iPhone during the massive demand for iPhones that usually exists around the holiday season. Nonetheless, she eventually lets it go, laughs it off, and eventually is led to being utterly surprised by Tom’s next surprise.
As if a new iPhone would be enough of a shocker for his bride-to-be, Tom planned a clever surprise proposal with a little help from Siri.
He thought it would be a fun idea to propose to his Steph by telling Siri to read aloud the last text message received by his own phone. Steph had no idea what was coming, but was eager to hear what Siri had to say.
The text message included the magic word “marriage”, and once Steph realizes what’s happening, you can tell she’s overwhelmed with emotion.
After Siri stops reading his message out loud, Tom pops the famous question.
I won’t spoil the video for you with her response, but I can promise you that this clip ends in a lot of happy tears and smiles. This surprise proposal turned out to be a great idea for such a lovely couple — a proposal that was one of the most unique I’ve seen.
