When They Stepped Out From Behind The Screen — I Couldn’t Help But Smile!

This video of dancing skeletons embracing each other might be the most beautiful thing you have seen in a long time. It will only take you a few seconds to fall in love this new PSA from the Ad Council, as they deliver a powerful message that touches on bias and diversity, as well as showing equality in all forms.

During this past Valentine’s Day, a giant X-ray screen was set up in Santa Monica, CA to illustrate the idea that love has no race, gender, age, sexuality, religion, or disability. This video displays real people in the form of their skeletons behind the screen hugging, kissing, and dancing in front of a large crowd, then stepping out to reveal their true identities to show that no matter who you are, love is love. This video is a part of the “Love Has No Labels” campaign, and is set up to challenge us to open our eyes to our bias, judgments, and prejudice, and to work to stop it in our friends, our families, our colleagues, and ourselves.

What a great message to remind us that love really does have no labels. My favorite part was watching the audience’s reactions to the people who stepped out from behind the screen. Their smiles, claps, and tears for these individuals reminds me of what a wonderful world we live in. This video definitely pulled on a few heartstrings of mine. I love this!
