Okay, this is awesome — and it’s especially helpful for people like me, who aren’t exactly handy around the house. In this wonderfully helpful video, YouTube user jiujitsu2000 shows how to make small oil candles using tiny liquor bottles.
They come in very useful during power outages or simply to light up and enjoy. This is a perfect idea if your power goes out and you find yourself in an emergency situation. Plus, the small oil candles make for some adorable, rustic home decor.
All you need? A small finish nail, a hammer, 100% cotton yarn and oil lamp fuel.
Watch the video below for the simple step-by-step instructions. I love making little unique things like these.
Note: Remember to remove the plastic seals in the lid first. They not only melt, but the plastic works its way into the threading and essentially glues the cap to the bottle.
