Patricia Vandenberg got the surprise of a lifetime while she was attending an Anaheim Ducks hockey game on Dec. 10. She was at the game with her family and two sons, Robert, 1, and her newborn Travis, and she thought she'd be having a chat with her soldier husband via Skype from Romania, speaking to him on the JumboTron hovering over the arena.
Sergeant First Class Robert Vandenberg Jr. spent 10 months in Afghanistan and returned home to surprise his family. After Patricia chatted with her husbands via the arena's JumboTron, he walked to her section of the bleachers for a surprise reunion. Both get very emotional, hugging and kissing.
Then, Robert, who missed the birth of his son Travis, finally got to hold him for the first time. He proudly holds his son and is delighted to meet him. Grab the tissues!
