A great surprise like this one really never gets old!
If you haven't noticed by now, we are pretty big fans of our military heroes here at LittleThings. We're all about stories that make you feel good and I can't think of anything much better than heartwarming family reunions after a loved one in the military has been away for way too long.
We recently shared this awesome story about a little girl who got a big surprise on her 3rd birthday when her daddy returned home after his second deployment to Afghanistan in her lifetime. However, the time away is a lot harder on older kids like Anthony Farmer Jr., a high-school student who will be leaving for college in the fall.
While Anthony was attending a recent Major League Lacrosse game in Charlotte, NC, the future college lacrosse player was invited on the field to meet one of the star players. Instead, just like in this awesome homecoming surprise, Farmer, along with his mom and siblings, was shocked to see their dad, U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Anthony Farmer, take off the helmet.
The family believed their dad was on deployment in Kuwait and never saw it coming! It took Farmer a couple of seconds to realize exactly what was happening, but as you can see, it's a moment no one in their family will ever forget!
Did this surprise melt your heart, too? Please SHARE it with your friends on Facebook!
