Doctors Have Little Hope For Sisters In Comas From Car Crash. Today, They Look So Different

Tina Barr was attending a wedding with her best friend on September 10, 2016, when her phone rang. She picked up, only to receive the most devastating call of her life.

Her daughters, Sierra and Sophia, had been in a car accident, and all she was told was that it didn't look good.

She found herself praying in the car as she and her best friend rushed to the hospital to see her girls. Unfortunately, when she got there, she learned that Sierra had arrived in a coma and that Sophia had slipped into one later on. Doctors notified Tina that there wasn't much hope for her girls, but Tina refused to lose faith. She was determined to stay positive, despite seeing her daughters in such grave condition.

Sophia's coma and state were especially troubling. Doctors didn't think she would survive past her first night in the hospital. She didn't have any brain activity.

In the video below, posted on February 3, 2017, Tina remembers seeing Sophia in her coma. "Sophia, she just looked like an angel laying there," she explains.

As Tina was being prepared for the worst, she called in her priest to give the girls their last rights. Then she heard something that strengthened her positivity during the hardest time of all.

"Dr. Nemeh told his wife Kathy that 'She's connected, she's connected.' Scientifically, the CAT scans showed otherwise, that there was no brain activity, but I just — in my heart I knew, I just knew that it was going to be OK," Tina says with genuine belief shining in her eyes.

Because of Dr. Issam Nemeh's statement, Tina, her friends and family, and schools across the county all visited and prayed for Sophia to wake up from her coma and have a full recovery.

Next, something miraculous happened that changed the Barr family's lives forever.
