Woman Saves Dog From Strange Man, Then Sees His Furry Face On TV And Sees The Real Owner

Megan Nairne and her boyfriend James love their dog, Bruiser.

Bruiser is more than just a pet to them: He's a member of the family.

After all, the pup once belonged to James' mother, and the couple adopted him after she passed away.

So when Bruiser was stolen from in front of a store, they were absolutely devastated. They pleaded for help and went to the news, hoping for his safe return.

Little did they know that a terrified Bruiser was in the hands of a man who put him in danger. Thankfully, however, one woman stepped up to the plate.

The pup got loose and ran out onto the road in front of Karrie Smith's truck. The man who ran up behind the dog demanded her to give him $50, or else he would damage her truck.

Karrie ended giving him the money and walked away unscathed, dog in hand. She took him home where he would be safe.

It wasn't long before she found out who the dog's real owners were. Watching the news, she saw Megan and James plead for Bruiser's safe return. The pictures of the dog she saw on TV looked like the dog on her couch, so she called out his name — and he responded!

Knowing that she couldn't keep him, Karrie was able to return Bruiser to his teary-eyed owners, who couldn't be happier for his safe return.
