Stranger Feeds A Homeless Man Searching Through Trash

As she was leaving school in Washington, D.C. one day, Natasha Robinson saw a homeless man digging through the trash for food and felt inclined to help.

The good Samaritan offered to buy him a meal from Wendy's, and the starving man accepted (much like the Florida police officer who bought a homeless stranger breakfast.)

While walking to Wendy's, the homeless man stunned Robinson when he uttered: "Thank you Lord for sending someone."

Then he asked her to document the moment, which she later shared on her Facebook page.

"After he ordered he said let's take a picture on that fancy phone you have there. The world needs to see what a walking blessing looks like," Robinson explained in the caption of the photo she posted.

The heartwarming picture, showing the smiling homeless man, quickly went viral with over 100,000 likes and 30,000 shares. Many praised Robinson for her good deed and called her a blessing. But, according to Robinson, it was the other way around.

"He said I can't let you leave until I hug you. As he was hugging me he was praying," Robinson wrote. "Little do [sic] he know I'm the one who received a blessing."

It's clear that the homeless man was thankful for Robinson's good deed. Little did he know, he also had a positive effect on her life that day.

“As a Christian woman the word tells me to LOVE my neighbor and in loving my neighbor that means being my brother’s keeper and helping when he needs it. He needed me and as he hugged and prayed for me in that moment I realized that I needed him as well," she told Fox 29.

Many were touched by Robinson’s good deed and shared beautiful comments on Facebook.

“Since this has happened and this picture has gone viral I have gotten hundreds of inboxes from people all over the world. Just people thanking me for helping this man, some saying I have restored their faith in Humanity and others that are simply grateful that I stopped to feed him,” she said.
