A Stranger Offers Children Candy To Show Just How Quickly They Will Take It

We all tell our kids, "Don't take candy from strangers!" However, most people don't know why that's really good advice.

In the 1960s, there were several cases of children receiving bubble gum laced with rat poison in Philadelphia and Detroit.

While many cases of "poisoned candy" have been debunked or shown to be myths, it's safe to say that we still should be teaching our children to be wary of unknown adults who present themselves as friends.

To demonstrate the importance of carefully instilling our kids with a bit of "street smarts," Rich Ferguson conducted a little experiment.

With the consent of the parents, he approached several young children at the playground and park.

He showed them magic tricks, struck up conversation and then offered them candy.

After all, in a different social experiment, one man proved how easy it was to abduct and kidnap children even with their parents watching.

There are some real creeps out there! In this video, the parents watched, awestruck, at their children's reactions. Did they really say that? Did they really do that?!

Watch the video to see how street smart these kids were.

And please SHARE it with your own to make sure they understand how serious this is.
