Rescuer Notices Stray Has Bumpy Skin, Then Dog’s X-Ray Leaves Her In Disbelief

Shauna Baur noticed Honeybee, a stray dog, roaming the streets of Florida. Honeybee was absolutely terrified of humans. She would not let them come close; in fact, she seemed willing to dive into the beach's waters just to get away from rescuers.

However, Shauna wasn't quick to give up. Eventually, she was able to get close enough to Honeybee to rescue her. When Honeybee finally allowed the rescuers to pet her body, Shauna noticed something strange: It felt as though there were bumps under her coat. Shauna ran a magnet over her coat and realized the bumps were metal.

A veterinarian conducted an X-ray and found some shocking results. The scan showed tiny dots scattered throughout her body. Those dots turned out to be pellets.

The vet is convinced that someone intentionally shot Honeybee with the pellets, as there is no way there could be so many by accident. Fortunately, some of the pellets were pushed out of her system naturally, while others needed to be removed surgically.

Honeybee is on her way to recovery and feeling better. She is no longer afraid of humans and is looking to find a forever home.

"I mean, look at her," Shauna said. "Would you ever want to do anything to this beautiful dog?"

Thanks to these rescuers, Honeybee's story will have a happy ending.
