College Senior With $600 Worth Of Unused Meal Plan Points Uses It To Feed Homeless People

Maya Nepos is a senior at Washington University in St. Louis studying psychology and marketing. When this past school year started, the Missouri student had 600 points to spend on her meal plan. By the end of the year, however, she realized she had hardly used any; most of her classes were online because of the pandemic.

In an effort to burn off her remaining points, Maya treated her friend to a fancy dinner on campus, but she still had a lot of points left in her account.

So Maya presented herself with a challenge that would make most college students incredibly jealous: "Let's see if I can spend $600 in food in two days."

Maya went to the food market on campus and used the rest of her meal plan points to buy hundreds of dollars' worth of groceries. She quickly realized there was no way she'd be able to eat it all in two days.

Then she realized she could put all that food to good use — by giving it to those who needed it most.

This amazing college student took it upon herself to spend the next two days hand-delivering food to the homeless community of St. Louis, documenting her journey on TikTok and gaining the support of people all over the country.

And she didn't even stop there …
