Whoever said superheroes are make believe, never met 5-year-old Jameson Kessler from Shelbyville, Indiana.
Jameson, who goes by the name "Marrow Man," donated bone marrow to his little sister, Samantha, and helped save her life.
Samantha, who now has a clean bill of health, was suffering from a rare blood disorder called thalassemia. The disorder causes the body to make an abnormal form of hemoglobin, the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen. If left untreated, it would result in excessive destruction of red blood cells, which leads to anemia.
Lucky for Samantha, her brother swooped in, just as any superhero would, and saved the day!
What an amazing story and an even more amazing brother!
