They Revamped This Bland Backyard Into A Wonderland Using Just Some Old Rocks

It’s amazing what you can use to make something beautiful.

For instance, you can grab a few cement bricks and build a handsome backyard smoker; pry free some pallet wood and make a gorgeous coffee table; or dig out an old, rusty rake and flip it into a charming, rustic kitchen utensil rack.

All you need to do to create these lovely, personalized items is will, a little creativity, and the desire to fall into the wonderful rabbit hole that is DIY project-dom in order to get a little inspiration. And once you’re there, there is no looking back.

But sometimes people evolve from DIY gurus and blossom into artists in their own right — and one couple from Vancouver, Canada did just that.

Andreas Kunert and Naomi Zettl are partners in life and in spirit and what they create together captures the very core of your imagination.

Their creations look like they were torn from the pages of a fairytale book. Once I saw one, I couldn’t stop looking, it’s just so mesmerizing!

Please SHARE if you love their amazing projects, too!

The couple calls their joint venture Ancient Art of Stone, and what they aim to do is take something like this yard and completely transform it.

“Our aspiration in coming together, is to create sacred spaces, portals and other connective works of art that allow our clients and viewers a visual glimpse of the other-side,” they say on their site.

“What is invisible to our human eyes but felt within.”

They definitely speak the truth. Just look at what they did with this charming iron gazebo.

The end result is as pleasing to the eye as it is to the imagination.

With their creative twist, they grounded the structure in a swirl of whimsy.

Not to mention that the conclusion is completely satisfying.

Their pieces are sustainable, built to last, and many can be shipped fully assembled directly to your project site.

The stones they use are often from the mountains and valleys around their home on Vancouver Island.

They hope with their art to create a personal portrait that is a “reflection of the client’s soul.”

“We are attune to the stone; each one choosing to be in a greater piece and each work choosing to come to a particular setting or home,” they say on their site.
