Having a child comes with responsibilities, and many people think long and hard before deciding if they want to start a family or not. It's always a good idea to have a strong network and support system to help you in times of need, whether if it's just for babysitting or even financial woes.
Nevertheless, sometimes kids happen by accident, and moms who aren't ready to care for a child suddenly have a huge responsibility on their shoulders. That's what happened to a young woman named Caitlin, who got pregnant at 16 years old. The teen mom gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. She worked hard, finished high school, and even studied nursing.
She and her family say that, while many people will believe that her daughter, Chloe, was a mistake, the baby girl was actually a blessing. According to her sister ,Jamie, the teen didn't quite know what know what life had in store for her, and thought that she was "going down the wrong path," but after the birth of her child, Chloe felt like all the pieces suddenly fell into place!

This is Caitlin. She was sixteen and in the beginning of her sophomore year of highschool when she discovered she was pregnant. She was overwhelmed with fear.

She had no idea how she would raise a child on her own, how she would finish school, or how she could provide a future for herself and her baby.

But, she had her whole family there to support her. During her pregnancy she had complications with sickness and that forced her into homeschooling for the majority of her sophomore year. After her daughter was born she was able to attend high school again.

With parenthood came long late nights with a newborn and early mornings of school. During her junior year she spent her lunch period pumping breastmilk for baby Chloe in the nurse’s office so she could store it and bring it home. Being able to supply her baby with nourishment was something that meant a great deal to Caitlin.

Her senior year came with more challenges, but she chose a career path of nursing. This meant long nights of studying while caring for a two-year-old, clinicals that kept her away from her baby, and more early mornings of school.

All of that hard work was worth it in the end when she graduated from highschool as a certified nurse aide and a phlebotomy technician.

Before Chloe came into her life, Caitlin felt she was going down the wrong path; she didn’t really understand the plans God had for her, but after Chloe was born it was like all the pieces fell into place. She knew who she was and what she needed to do with her life. She could not imagine life without Chloe Rayne beside her.

Even Caitlin's mom weighed in on the conversation, saying that she couldn't be prouder of her daughter for her accomplishments!
