Throughout history, there have been plenty of incredible manmade creations. Often, these structures have required detailed planning for construction.
But of all the amazing homes built around the world, I've always been most captivated by tree houses — like this rustic tree house set deep in the woods of Vermont.
However, of all the incredible tree houses I've come across, this particular structure has to be the most beautiful — and fascinating — of all.
Conceptualized by a Tennessee pastor on a mission, the unique home was built using only its surrounding natural habitat and recycled materials.
The pastor had received a "divine calling" from God several years before construction of the tree house even began, and, just a while later, had embarked on his 15-year journey to complete the incredible feat.

Minister Horace Burgess has dedicated 15 years of his life to build the world's largest tree house just outside Crossville, TN. In 1993, he received a divine calling from God, who told him, "If you build a treehouse, I'll see that you never run out of material."
So, he set to work. Following this visionary command, Burgess began construction of the tree house, using an 80-foot-tall white oak tree as main support, and an additional six oak trees to help stabilize the structure.

The tree house is built on a plot of land that Burgess had purchased 10 years before construction began.

Burgess didn't involve tailored plans in his construction process. He did use a large amount of reclaimed wood and recycled pallets.

There is even a church on one of the levels of the tree house, where Burgess conducts his sermons.

All in all, the tree house measured 97 feet high, and spans over 32,000 square feet.

The house contains 80 rooms and also has a bell tower at the very top. The tower houses oxygen acetylene bottles that chime daily as bells.

Burgess has said that the tree house is God's house, and that everyone is welcome there.

In true southern fashion, every story of the tree house has an outdoor porch deck.

The tree house has become a huge tourist attraction upon completion of its construction, but three years ago, it was temporarily closed down by a local fire marshall due to some fire code violations.

However, the structure remains standing, and is a testament to how absolutely incredible manmade creations are. Like many who have caught wind of this tree house, we will continue to marvel at its ingenuity.
