Texas orthodontist Karin Cain has been revealed as the mistress of Colorado dentist James Craig, who has been accused of poisoning his wife, leading to her death. Neighbors of Cain have indicated to the New York Post that they haven't seen her at her family's home, where her estranged husband still lives.
Craig and Cain were exchanging emails as Craig's wife lay dying in a hospital room. Cain also traveled from Texas to Colorado to see Craig during the same time period.
Craig's wife was declared brain-dead on March 19, 2023. Craig was charged with first-degree murder on Thursday, March 23, 2023.
Cain is the only orthodontist in the town in Texas where she lives.
One neighbor told the outlet, "If I were her, I’d be in hiding. It’s all anyone is talking about in town."
Cain's husband, Jason, is still living in the home they shared.

Cain and her estranged husband were formerly both partners in their dental practice, but Cain's husband stepped aside following a dispute in January 2022. Cain has reportedly been working without paying herself to keep her business going.
It's currently not believed that Cain knew about Craig's plan to poison his wife.
