Heroic Man Resuscitates Lifeless Sea Turtle Using CPR!

On tonight's episode of NBC's The Island, one participant turned into a hero after administers CPR…to a sea turtle!

Benji Lanpher and Matt Getz were catching fish when the sea turtle accidentally drifted into their net. They were quick to release the sea creature was gasping for air and needed help.

The unbelievable scene was captured on camera, as the endangered creature was pulled ashore. Lanpher, 31, of Los Angeles came to the rescue when he realized the sea turtle was lifeless.

"I'm about to blow air down his mouth," he says before performing the life-saving technique.

Finally, after a few seconds of CPR, the turtle starts to move and is breathing again.

"I swore it was dead, and then the turtle started moving and actually turned himself down the sand into the water," he says in the clip above.

This amazing hero will restore your faith in humanity. It’s so great to see humans going above and beyond to help our fellow animals in need, like the men who saved a horse from a well or the wildlife rescuer who saved a baby bat from certain death.

Now that's something you don't see every day.
