Camping is a great way to get in touch with nature and unplug from the stress of everyday life.
There are few things I enjoy more than waking up surrounded by the chirping of birds and rustling of animals in the distance, such as these adorable turkeys.
But as the temperatures drop, nights spent in a tent become less and less enjoyable, and more and more uncomfortable and cold.
Derek O'Sullivan had a particularly cold night in a tent when he finally realized that enough is enough.
"The following morning, I started sketching a tent that would keep us comfy — and Thermo Tent was born," Derek wrote on ThermoTents.com.
He used innovative technology to create a state-of-the-art tent that stays warm in the cold, stays cool in the heat, and keeps out noise.

Normal tents can have huge temperature spikes — from freezing at night, to sweltering hot the moment the sun rises in the morning.
However, the Thermo Tent is thermally and acoustically insulated, which means that it keeps a regular temperature, and keeps out noise.
The tent has two windows on each side to keep the space inside bright and sunny, with steel poles securing the shape of the tent.
In the back of the tent are the fully insulated sleeping quarters, and in the front, an open porch area allows you to enjoy nature from the shade of your tent.
Two layers of highly breathable material helps reduce condensation within the tent, while keeping the inside comfortable.
The insulation can keep out a lot of noise to help you sleep soundly.
According to the website, the tent reduces noise by 35 decibels, which is "the equivalent of reducing city traffic noise down to the equivalent of a normal conversation."
Thermo Tent is very proud of the materials they use for their tent, saying "our groundsheets, poles, flysheest, mesh and even our zips are the highest quality."
Because of the grade and bulk of the Thermo Tent, they needed to create a way to pack and store the tent efficiently.
They created a vacuum system and designed special ergonomic bags to offset the weight of the tent's materials.
Thermo Tent can be shipped all over the world, and are set to be sent to refugee camps in the Middle East and to Mount Everest's base camp.
They've also developed a portable charger to accompany the tents that can create energy solely from saltwater — enough to charge your cellphone when you're stranded on a deserted island!
If a fully insulated tent is still too close to nature, they've followed the glamping trend and started designing glamping lodges as well.
Joining their insulated-tent technology with a larger floor plan and more luxurious features like a porch and full beds, helping them to "up" the comfort factor significantly.
Thermo Tent lodges are custom-made for people who want a luxurious camping adventure.
"Campgrounds are getting excited about them as it enables them to draw in more and more customers who are looking for this style of adventure," states their website.
Their different glamping lodge floor plans include beds, tables, kitchens, bathrooms — practically everything you would want or need!
Derek says that when he created Thermo Tent, "maybe it was a Eureka moment, maybe just frustration."
But the result was a one-of-a-kind tent that will keep you warm and help you sleep soundly, right in the heart of nature.
