This Abused Dog Had Maggots And Was Left To Die, I Was Furious. Then I Read About His Miraculous Rescue.

Wilson found this doggy…named Francisco…wandering the streets of Brazil with severely infected wounds from abuse.


Francisco was practically being eaten alive by wounds wrought with maggots. His armpit wound was so severe you could see the muscle.


His ear was full of maggots and was practically rotting off!


In addition to having these grotesque infection, poor Francisco was also malnourished.


You could see his bones through his coat! Wilson immediately took Francisco into his care and decided to heal this sweet dog – no matter what the cost.


Wilson treated Francisco’s wounds with antiseptic ointment.


He made sure to use a lot! Each gash was very infected.


Weak, Francisco was cooperative during these treatments.


You could see how grateful he was by just looking at him.


He was also grateful for the snackies and delicious dinners afterword!


While he was still too weak to eat like a normal dog, Wilson spoonfed the recovering pup.


He was happy to do it, too!


You can already see that Francisco was filling out a bit more by the time of his next check-up thanks to lots of yummy good.


Wilson painstakingly removed the now dead maggots from all of the wounds.


There were so many, it only made him more determined to heal this precious dog that had been through such a trying ordeal!


After the maggots were removed, the wounds were again wrapped with antiseptic ointment.


And after every treatment, Francisco got snuggles…


And, of course, snackies!

Believe it or not, this is a vast improvement! Francisco’s wound is clean and pink – the infection and the maggots are gone. Now he can really start to heal.


Francisco began to learn to expect snackies after being at the vets.

Such a beautiful father-son bond was formed between these two.


Although feeding times could be a bit messy…


Francesco slept beside Wilson’s bed as he healed….
