Man Finds The Tiniest Mystery Baby Animal On The Ground And Goes All In To Save Its Life

When I was younger, I always wanted to find a baby animal of any kind and raise it. I’m not sure if that was just me, but I still have that daydream sometimes. It would be so cool to find an animal that’s not the usual house pet and raise them as your very own!

The We Love Animals YouTube channel shared a video of a man who did exactly that. He found a tiny creature on the ground and took matters into his own hands by taking it home to try to save its life.

Ron found a little baby the size of his thumb in his driveway, and at first, he wasn’t sure exactly what it was. Needing some answers, Ron brought the little guy inside to warm him up and got on the internet to conduct some research.

Once he knew he'd found a baby squirrel, Ron learned that baby squirrels tend to fall out of their nest from time to time, and sometimes the mother comes back to grab them. To try to successfully reunite baby and mom, Ron put the squirrel in a shallow box and waited from afar to see if the mother would take him home.

The mother did come down and examine the baby in the box, but she chose not to take him back. Not a good mom move. Ron had little faith that the baby squirrel would live, but he tried his hardest to make it happen.

He fed the squirrel puppy milk formula with a syringe every three hours around the clock. Newborns do tend to keep you up at night, no matter what species. Around 30 days old, the squirrel opened his eyes and began to crawl on Ron. At this point, Ron knew that the squirrel was going to live, and he named him Bob.

At 13 weeks, it was time to release the squirrel, so Ron bought him a squirrel house. Even though Bob lives outside now, he still comes into the house when he wants to and runs to Ron when he calls his name.

This story has officially made me want a squirrel as a pet. I’m not sure if that’s the best idea, but you can’t knock it until you try it, right?
