Becoming a parent changes you.
One moment, you are your only responsibility and the next, there is a tiny, helpless little human who's depending on you to protect them from harm — like with this mom who stood up to her son's bullies.
Parents do their best to keep kids from stumbling into dangerous situations, and it helps that they seem to instantly sprout eyes in the backs of their heads for spotting even the invisible disasters.
Every mother wishes for a "guardian angel" to watch over her growing child. Not every mom gets the joy of actually seeing that guardian angel follow their child as they grow, though.
Toco is a tabby cat who has been watching over his baby brother since the day he was born. The adorable pair — who are making quite a splash on Instagram — are virtually inseparable, with Toco always there, watching over the wee one like a protective big brother should. Thankfully for us, their human mom has documented their entire amazing relationship.
Toco has loved his human brother since the day he was born. As soon as he came home from the hospital, Toco was there to babysit.
The diligent kitty is always ready to stand guard while he sleeps.
Sometimes Toco even grabs a little shut-eye himself!
These two have clearly mastered the art of adorable napping.
But even during the waking hours, the pair seem to be inseparable.
As his "brother" has grown older, Toco has remained by his side, ever watching over him while he sleeps.
When things get a little adventurous, Toco is always there to keep an eye on things…
And maybe stir up a little mischief of his own.
We should all be so fortunate as to have a guardian angel like Toco. His love and devotion for the young boy are truly beautiful.
