Reader, beware: the video you're about to watch contains a heavy dose of adorableness. The toddler son in his bright-red shoes is exactly who you needed to cheer up your day!
Mom was filming her son Mason in their living room when she exclaimed, "Mason, I think you have a visitor!"
The curious little boy looked toward the door and back to his mom again.
There had been no knock and no doorbell rung, so the savvy toddler knew there couldn't be someone at the door… Or could there?
"Is someone at the door for you?" Mom asked.
He walked to the door, visibly curious but still not certain.
"Who is it, Mason?"
At that point, the boy ran off-camera right when the door opened. In walked a man dressed entirely in military attire.
When Mason walked back in and saw who it was that had entered his home, he jumped up and down in excitement, yelling "Da-da!"
In fact, it was Mason's dad, finally home from the Marines. Young Mason had started to understand his dad's absence, going so far as calling out his name and wondering where he was.
But now, Dad was finally back.
Mason was so excited that he took his dad's hat off, tried it on himself, and then gave it to Mom as a souvenir!
